Coach access is via the sealed Landsborough highway from either Longreach or Winton then via 16km of graded unsealed road to 'Darr River Downs' station.

The property also features a 1300 metre black soil landing strip suitable for small flight charters. A cleared area for helicopters is located adjacent to the homestead precinct.

Morning Tea and/or Lunch Experience

Join Fiona and Paul on a guided walking tour of the historic homestead precinct. Explore the four museum areas - the shearing room, harness and blacksmith room, an antique firearms collection, plus a fascinating display of original household items, ledgers, diaries and agricultural equipment.

Enjoy a delicious home made morning tea or light lunch then relax in the shady gardens and browse the collection of publications and artwork. Take a short drive to ‘Boot Hill’ Cemetery and reflect on those who have lived, worked and passed through this land, their stories woven into the fabric of ‘Darr River Downs’.

Sunset and Canapes Experience

Following an insightful guided tour of the historic homestead precinct and museum areas, experience the mesmerising shift of colours stretching to the horizon from 'Boot Hill' Cemetery, the perfect vantage point to take in the golden sunset hues.

As the afternoon fades to dusk, relax and toast this magical part of the day with included drinks paired with a delicious, shared gazing platter featuring the flavours of locally sourced produce.
